APPLICATION TO BECOME A SIGNATORY TO THE MULTILATERAL MUTUAL RECOGNITION ARRANGEMENTS OF ILAC/IAF/AFRAC/SADCA
The Mauritian economy is moving rapidly from a system based on trade preferences to one based on global competition. Many national agencies involved in conformity assessment infrastructure are helping in eliminating technical barriers to trade.
So to ensure that the Mauritius Accreditation Service (MAURITAS) accredited certificates issued by conformity assessment bodies are accepted across all borders, MAURITAS applied to become signatory to the Multilateral/Mutual Recognition Arrangements of ILAC/IAF/AFRAC/SADCA in July 2015.
MAURITAS provided the requisite documentation which was reviewed and accepted by the evaluation team prior to the on-site pre-evaluation.
