Celebration

An event was also organised for the celebration of this day, representatives from the GSO member countries, governmental institutions and from private conformity assessment bodies participated. The event was also an opportunity to reward the recently trained assessors in the field of the accreditation of inspection bodies. A three day event preceeded the celebration and its main topic was ISO 17020, its requirements and the discussion of the modifications in the DIS version.

All the main media in the region were informed about the celebration, and a wide spread of information on World Accreditation Day and the importance of the accreditation for the GCC single market and for the protection of the comsumer was disseminated.
