EA 2011 – a year of change

2011 will be a year of change for EA.

An early change involves the addition of a new face in the EA Secretariat’s team in Paris. Miss Julia LEDWON has been tasked with reinforcing the team with its daily activities on the basis of a fixed-term part-time employment contract.

This additional resource to the Secretariat is one of the outcomes of a strategic session that the EA Executive Committee held in January 2010 to revise the EA Strategic Plan and develop a vision for the Secretariat in accordance with the enhanced role and status given to EA by Regulation (EC) 765/2008.

During a second strategic session in January 2011, the EA Executive Members agreed that the EA Secretariat should relocate to a new location in Paris by the end of March 2011. This is in line with the decision to make EA legally independent from the French NAB’s structure in January 2010. Finally, in 2011, elections of the EA Executive membership will take place at the EA Assembly General to be held on 25 & 26 May 2011 in Berlin, Germany for a mandate starting on 1st January 2012.
