BSCA: A Step Towards Harmonization
As a next step towards harmonizing legislation with the best conformity assessment practices, the new Law of the Republic of Belarus № 437-Z "On the assessment of compliance with technical requirements and accreditation of conformity assessment bodies" has been adopted and will come into force on 30 July 2017.

The law aims to identify a legal and organizational framework for assessing compliance with technical requirements and for accreditation of conformity assessment bodies. Since the law ensures a unified state policy in the field of conformity assessment and accreditation, it will play a major role in assisting the Belarusian State Centre for Accreditation (BSCA) to pass an evaluation by the European co-operation for accreditation (EA) that is to take place in November 2017.
